Immaculate Heart of Mary School now has 6 Smart Boards being used every day in the classrooms!
Smart Boards are interactive white boards, as described on Wikipedia: "The interactive nature of the SMART Board provides many practical uses for the classroom. Students as young as preschool age can easily use a SMART Board. Teachers can create unique interactive sound-enhanced lessons and link websites, PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets to the notebook software. Documents can also be scanned into slides to help create curriculum based material. The images and flash graphics in the “Gallery” are added features that help to create a 21st Century environment within the classroom. The SMART board has become a new methodology for teachers to engage students in traditional educational content."

Reminders from the School Office:
Please remember if you would like your Grade 4K - 5 child to have milk with their morning snack to return the form with payment. The semester ended last Friday, and those who have not returned their form will not receive milk for snack!
Please note that there is No Homework Club next week Wednesday and Thursday, the 3rd and the 4th of February.
